Applications:

Primarily used in the synthesis of chiral drugs, chiral additives, and chiral auxiliaries. It is applied in the synthesis of antibiotics, antiviral drugs, anticancer drugs, D- or L-carnitine, and vitamin (R)-pantothenic acid. Additionally, it can serve as a chiral resolving agent in ligand synthesis.
