Description: 

D-Valine is a white to off-white crystalline powder, soluble in water and slightly soluble in methanol and ethanol. 

 

Applications: 

D-Valine is used in the synthesis of novel and highly efficient pesticides, such as pyrethroids and chlorfluazuron. It is also an intermediate for the synthesis of veterinary drugs like Vormetrim and an important precursor in the synthesis of antibiotics such as D-Penicillamine, Streptomycin D, Mersacidin, and Valinomycin.
